Sundays at 10:45am

 Gig Mill Methodist Church has a long-established tradition of developing our young people spiritually. Our aim is to promote the children's Spiritual, Moral, Social and Educational development through Bible-based activities such as singing, arts and crafts, and drama. We ensure that Gig Mill is a safe, comfortable, friendly environment where learning is fun, and the children can grow in love, commitment and understanding of the wider world.

We hold our Primary and Junior Sunday School sessons on Sunday mornings from 10:45 to 11:45, and children, visitors and new members are always welcome. Our young people join in the first part of the main church service, and then leave to participate in their own lessons and activities.

PRIMARY DEPARTMENT

JUNIOR DEPARTMENT

Our Primary Classes welcome all children aged 3 to 6, with under 3's welcome if accompanied by an adult.

The Primary Department teaching staff consists of 3 qualified teachers - Joy, Victoria, and Tracy.

The Junior Classes comprise young people of ages 7 and above.

Junior Department teachers comprise 5 staff - Sylvia, Steve, Jane, Fiona and Maureen - 3 of which are also qualified teachers.

Sunday School events include a Christmas play, talent shows, the Sunday School Anniversary in June/July, our own musical productions such as 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat', 'Psalty', 'The Music Machine' and 'David the Shepherd King', Christmas parties, panto trips (when numbers permit) as well as prizegivings to recognise our Young People's achievements, commitment and spiritual development.
